The students were so enthusiastic and worked hard to prepare for this competition. At the competition, I saw them exhibit our Character Values, especially when helping the custodians clear trash off the tables that other students had left behind.  I am so proud of them!!

The Lion roars with pride as The National Merit Scholarship Program announced February 1, the National Merit Finalists in the 2008 Competition.

R.L. Turner High School is proud to announce our 2008 National Merit Finalists:

Lindsey Humphries

Kathryn Kidson

Joel Long

Neeka Parker

Christopher Tensmeyer

These students are one of more than 1.4 million students who enter the competition by taking the challenging PSAT exam in October. Of the 1.4 million only 1% of the top scoring students are selected  by the National Merit Scholarship Program as a Finalist.

Congratulations to these amazing students for a job well done in the 2008 Competition!
